What feels like a story from straight out of a TV drama, tennis fans and activists of the #MeToo movement across China are asking. #WhereIsPengShuai.
Little is known of her whereabouts after her social post from November 2nd (deleted within 30 minutes from the Weibo social platform in China), publicly accusing a former Chinese vice-premier of forcing her to have sex several years ago.
The WTA has asked China to investigate this, and while the Chinese Tennis Association has told WTA CEO Steve Simon that she's safe in Beijing, no one has seen her since this post.
The tennis community hopes for a swift resolution and acknowledgment of the whereabouts of Peng, and a full investigation into the allegations made against this Chinese government official.
The guys cover other tennis news stories including results from Linz (WTA) and Stockholm (ATP), another Andy Murray Moment, FAA and Denis' withdrawal from Davis Cup, the WTA Finals, ATP Next Gen Finals and the start of the ATP World Tour Finals in Torino.

Konta-V is for Victories...So Many Victories!

Wednesday Nov 03, 2021
To not place a curse on the house of victories that the talented Estonian has built the last few months in her WTA run, Aldwin has decided not to name the player who is taking names herself! One of those players is the one Aldwin hath cursed this season by picking her to win so much... Garbine Muguruza, who was demolished 1 and 1 by 'The Player Who Shall Not Be Named' in Moscow, on route to her third title. This week that became fourth title with her back-to-back win in Transylvania, booking her spot into the WTA Finals and bumping bestie Ons Jabeur out of that final spot.
Croatians emerged this week with Donna Vekic taking her first title in four years, and a resurgent Marin Cilic taking his second title of the season and making his second final in as many weeks.
In Vienna, all eyes were on Frances Tiafoe where his talents were on full display. Like any good conductor, he brought the crowd engaged with flare and inspiring play, achieving three straight top 20 victories, including top seed Tsitsipas. For his semi-final opponent Jannik Sinner, who blew a set and 3-0 lead in his loss to Tiafoe, the 'antics' may have gone too far. What is your take on Tiafoe's engagement of both his opponent and the crowd during matches? Can it go too far?
After all was said and done in Vienna, it would be Zverev taking home his fifth title of the season, adding to his two Masters titles and Olympic gold medal.

The guys take a different approach to this week's episode. They prepare five questions to pose to the other covering the 2021 season, some pontificating on the future, and some straight-up fantasy.
Of course, things do get a little bit shady. You'll have to tune in to see just how shady things get!

A rescheduled Indian Wells event comes to a close with two new champions emerging. Paula Badosa marched her way through a tough draw, beating four top 20 players on her way to the final against two time champion Victoria Azarenka. In perhaps the match of 2021 on the ladies side, Badosa took all the blows Azarenka had, taking the third set tiebreak 7-2 to take her first WTA 1,000 title.
Other notable performances include Ons Jabeur, making her way through to the semis and becoming the first Arab women into the Top 10.
For the men, after the dust settled and the new guard of Zverev, Medvedev and Tsitsipas were ousted at the QF stage, that left Cameron Norrie to come through in his sixth final of the season with his first Masters 1,000 title.
Honorable mentions go out to Grigor Dimitrov for out Medvedev'ing Medvedev, coming back from a set and double break. And Taylor Fritz, who has returned from knee surgery to some stellar results, including this week at his home event in California.
The guys discuss player vaccinations as Djokovic wishes to keep his status secret in light of revelations that it may be required to play in Melbourne in January. Holger Rune shares his anger regarding the frozen ATP rankings that have held him outside the Top 100 when he should be in the 60's.

We're midway through the return to Tennis Paradise and action at Indian Wells has reached a fever pitch.
Some compelling stories have emerged, including the continued journey to form of Andy Murray, who's fight on court alongside improved ground strokes and movement are proving he's still got the goods, playing his best match in R3 in a lost to Zverev.
On the ladies side, it's Leylah Fernandez once again making waves, this time in Indian Wells. Like Andy, Leylah fights for every point, and has improved so much even since the guys interview back in April. It's difficult not to contrast her performance against the woman who defeated her in the U.S. Open final last month, Emma Raducanu, who went out in her first round match.
From Tommy Paul, Aslan Karatsev and the 'BDE' (you'll have to listen) of Daniil Medvedev, who's the favourite on the Men's side.
For the ladies, with Aldwin's pick (Mugu) out early, could his 2nd favourite Jelena Ostapenko (kidding... she's not his fave) continue her strong play to her first premier 1,000 title? What about former champion Victoria Azarenka, or former finalist Angie Kerber.
It's getting hot (and juicy) in Tennis Paradise.

Over two and a half years after its last outing in the California desert, the rescheduled Indian Wells event is back.
With players like Barty, Osaka and Kenin out, and Sabalenka dealing with a positive COVID diagnosis, which ladies will make a stand in the California sun. The guys have their eyes on the return of Kim Clijsters, who looked good in her first match back in 18-months in Chicago. Will defending champion Andreescu make another charge, or will it be Muguruza to have another day in the sun, fresh off the heels of raising her trophy in Chicago.
With no Big 3 for the third Masters event in a row, can anyone stop reigning U.S. Open champion Medvedev. Other top seeds Zverev and Rublev will take their shot, as well as this week's 250 title holders Sinner and Ruud, who captured is tour leading 5th title of the year.
Nearly a year after these allegations first emerged, the guys address news of the ATP Tour will now take-up an investigation into the domestic violence allegations being levied against Sascha Zverev. How will this investigation take shape and what policies and processes can the tour put in place to address such issues going forward?

After a week off of rest the guys are back and so is the shade.
While there was little doubt who would come out victorious, it was a bit surprising how dominate Team Europe was in its conquest of Team World at the fourth edition of the Laver Cup in Boston.
Aldwin and Jason talk through the weekend that was at the Laver Cup, from players in tuxes to the full fledged spectacle meant for television and to attract more casual tennis fans. With Team Europe making Team World Its... you know what... for the fourth time, is a format shake up in store for 2022?
The guys discuss Mary Carillo's decision to step away from presenting at the Laver Cup for fear of being complicit in not giving voice to the assault allegations that continue to follow Sascha Zverev.
The always dangerous Kontaveit takes out Sakkari for her 2nd title in 2021, while Hurkacz wins his third title of the year in Metz. Watch out for Kwon Soonwoo, the Korean player who secured his first title for a player from that country in 18 years... the guys pick him as one to watch.

An monumental U.S. Open Championships comes to a close. A new slam champion emerges on the men's side, as 'this gen' bad boy and entertainer Daniil Medvedev pulls off the improbable -- ending the 27 grand slam match win stream of Novak Djokovic, and in the process, halting Nole's quest for the calendar grand slam with a convincing victory. The guys discuss the deft play of Daniil, and the transformation of Djokovic throughout the fortnight, and in real time during that final.
A different, yet equally remarkable story concluded on the women's side, with the first ever qualifier going all the way to take the title. The upstart from Great Britain Emma Raducanu captured the imagination of the tennis world and the New York crowd, winning 10 matches and not dropping a set on route to her first grand slam title, and only her second main draw slam appearance. Equally stealing hearts, and having a seemingly tougher draw was Canada's newest sensation Leylah Fernandez, coming up short in what was truly a miraculous and unforgettable run to the final.
The guys dive deeper into each final match-up, review the runs of Zverev and FAA, discuss the looks of tennis elites at the Met Gala, and their own run to the finals in doubles at the GLTA event in Montreal, their tournament in two years.
